Margan was established as one of Broke’s pioneering wineries in 1996. All Margan wines are estate grown and made as well as certified Sustainably Farmed. Margan has been rated a five-star winery (James Halliday) for the last decade, twice winner of the Hunter Valley Cellar Door of the Year, Viticulturist of the Year 2015 winner and a Hall of Fame winner for NSW Tourism Awards.
Margan offer a range of wine tasting experiences. Enjoy behind-the-scenes tours into our onsite vineyard and state-of-the-art winery. Learn how our single vineyard wines are made from vine to glass. Enjoy a sneak preview tasting of yet to be released wines from the tank and barrel.
Our grazing platters and wine flights will take you on a culinary adventure supporting local farmgate producers, all without leaving the comfort of our cellar door. Wine tasting We popped in as we had the wines in a restaurant and found the staff excellent and the cellar door area very nice. Would like to cone back and eat there. We bought wines too as they were nice
Margan Mini Growers My friend and I booked ourselves a hotel for a couple of nights, packed the children (age 8,10, 14 and 15) and our bags and headed to the Hunter Valley.
One of our days we went to Margan Wines to enjoy some DIVINE wine tasting and a delicious charcuterie board, what had drawn us was the Mini Growers event which meant while we were tasting and chatting the children were in the depths of nature, treasure hunting for feathers, snails, carrots and other farmer garden delights. There were chickens, plantings, new friendships made and it was a complete success. A childrens' lunch was included at the end.
The service was exceptional and we would definitely book again for the mini growers. Next visit will be an adults' lunch on the beautiful sunny veranda. It would be wonderful if there were accommodation on the estate as it is a beautiful area to
